This small collection began with a question from my mom. I've been making copper cuffs for more than a decade, but my traditional cuffs are sealed. Her curiosity about wearing copper for its long-standing association with joint comfort got me thinking about making something different. So I experimented. Each cuff is hand fabricated from 14 gauge, 99.9% pure copper, individually textured, shaped, annealed, and polished. They are intentionally left unsealed, allowing the copper to remain in direct contact with the skin and naturally develop its own patina with wear. While copper has long been worn for its perceived therapeutic properties, scientific evidence does not establish that wearing copper jewelry treats arthritis or other medical conditions. What I can promise is substantial, beautifully made copper jewelry designed to be worn close to the skin and evolve with you. Each cuff measures ½" wide x 6½" long and can be gently shaped to your wrist for a personalized fit. They are designed for continuous wear rather than repeated opening and closing. Five one-of-a-kind cuffs. One little experiment.
