At just over an inch round, this detailed carved water buffalo bone sun and moon is so stunning, it hardly needed any embellishing! That's why it is held onto the highly textured sterling silver backplate with a small bit of gallery wire and tiny prongs. The overall pendant is a little more than 1.5" round and hangs from an 18" sterling silver cable chain. 

Organic water buffalo bone is collected from water buffalo raised in places like Indonesia and India. Each piece is handcarved by native artisans.
